Vafer, as part of an EU project and in cooperation with lecturers from the Laboratory for Telecommunications at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (LTFE) IKT Academy and experts from the field of electronic communications regulation, has prepared an interdisciplinary seminar for representatives from the Regulatory Agency for Communication of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Vafer seminar on competition in the electronic communication sector, which is to run from 22 to 24 August 2011, is unique in that it combines interdisciplinary content and experts from various interrelated fields.
The content of the seminar focuses upon the technical aspects, trends and new opportunities in the field of telecommunications, as well as the legal and regulatory specifics related to the field of electronic communications.
Participating in the seminar with their perspectives and experience are: Vesna Prodnik Pepevnik and Aleksander Kmetec from Vafer; Darja Petric Štrbenk, Mark Pohar and Katja Mohar Bastar from the Slovene telecooms regulator APEK; Dr. Dieter Staudacher from the Austrian telecoms regulator RTR; Simon Bračun and Aleksandra Mitic from KRB Law Firm; Dr Jože P. Damijan from the Faculty of Economics; Iztok Saje from the operator Telekom Slovenia; and Dr Andrej Kos, Dr Matevž Pogačnik, Dr Mojca Volk, Dr Urban Sedlar and Dr Blaž Peternel from LTFE.
The LTFE IKT Academy, in cooperation with Vafer, is also organising another international seminar entitled “Certified Seminar on New Trends in Telecommunications for Regulators” to be held from 26 to 29 September at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
